So, I've added cycling to my exercise regime. There is a great bike path behind where I'm living which goes out along some flood banks and swings you out the back of Invers to the estuary. It's a great route. I feel like I'm in training for the Tour De France...:) ...no, not really but yes, it's nearly that time of year again!!! I'm a wee bit excited! Bring on July!
Anyway, I went for a bike ride this afternoon and was just about home when I looked up and saw that an lady was walking her dog along the path ahead. She looked up and saw me and moved to the side of the path. But her dog didn't really move over her side so I thought I'll slow down and go through the middle...which is what I proceeded to do.
So, what went wrong...just as I was going through the middle, the dog decided to change and go the side of it's owner and I ran into the dog. It yelped and I fell off my bike ontop of the dog! Couldn't believe it! Fortunately the dog wasn't injured...that would have been just bad. The lady apologised and said that the dog was a bit blind. Great! I was a little embarrassed but after figuring we were all ok I just got back on my bike and cycled home..albeit with a bruise or two more than what I had before the cycle.
I haved laughed and laughed - you would have won "The Funniest Home Video". I had to tell everyone at work today and Sue had tears rollong down her face. We all want to know -Was the dog on a lead? If so did you run over it??
